Boat&Co can be found in an unmissable building in the Houthavens. The look of the imposing building is a loose interpretation of the iconic Amsterdam School. Solid brick surfaces alternate with striking bay windows and metal dormers. For the hotel's interior, Martin Brudnizki (known for his work for Soho House Group, Nobu and Rosewood Hotels, among others) signed on. The Brit chose a warm interior with a hint of the Amsterdam 1950s in which rich materials are mixed with the earthy tones of the fifties.
Restaurant Vessel
In the hotel's atrium, Amsterdam residents will soon mingle effortlessly with international guests. The hotel features a bar and an all-day restaurant with international dishes where renowned chef Ricardo van Ede rules the roost. For Restaurant Vessel, Van Ede and his team have created a menu consisting of purely healthy and responsible dishes, without too much health fuss. Think spelt flatbread with mushroom stew, sweet potato pancakes with blueberries and thyme honey and pizza with Groningen buffalo mozzarella and basil.
Next to Vessel, a 2nd restaurant including a terrace with a wide view of the IJ will open in 2020. The focus of the 2nd restaurant is on fine dining where guests can choose from a menu of Ricardo's culinary surprises.
Party
From Wednesday, November 13 to Saturday, November 16, Boat&Co will celebrate its opening with all Amsterdam residents of the city. For the occasion, the hotel will transform into a giant pop-up venue where local brands and entrepreneurs will take over the rooms.
