It hurt for a moment when we heard that the Portuguese restaurant Girassol was closing its doors after 35 years but we are getting something very nice in return. The two sons of the former owner of Girassol have taken over and together with Kae Sutherland have opened the beautifully decorated restaurant Bam Boa. This all-day spot offers great coffee, fresh juices, delicious brunch dishes, cocktails and cozy dining. The large waterfront terrace catches sun all day, so we know where to sit this summer.
On the menu at Bam Boa
The menu at Bam Boa features several Mediterranean-inspired dishes to share. Dorade Ceviche with red chili and blood orange, Crispy Octopus with paprika salsa and crispy onions and Fruits de Mer are some of the tasty options. Our favorite is the slow roasted Lamb Shoulder with pomegranate, flatbread and harissa yogurt with Truffle Fries as a side dish. There are also some delicious desserts, summer cocktails and Gin&Tonics on the menu.
Opening hours
The kitchen at Bam Boa is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
