Hit the cinema after the club on a Saturday night (read: Sunday morning)? From now on, you can. Earlier, a branch of Pathé in Rotterdam experimented with a nightly cinema program. The pilot in Amsterdam starts on April 27 and will last until July 21. You can watch the latest films at Pathé Arena in one of the 14 normal or IMAX theaters. It may be decided after that to keep the modified opening hours.
"We like to give our visitors the opportunity to enjoy our films and specials at any time. Because of this, we have decided to temporarily make the 24-hour opening part of our regular offer at Pathé Arena on weekends. In this way, we hope to be able to ascertain whether our Amsterdam visitors also want to experience the best movie experience at Pathé at night," says Pathé's Doron Kurz.
Opening hours
Normal opening hours at Pathé Arena are usually from 8:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. So from Saturday to Sunday, the cinema is now open 24 hours. Please note that from 01:00 am, payment can only be made by PIN.
