Taiko
The opening of Taiko has fulfilled a longtime wish of chef Schilo van Coevorden. The Asian-inspired restaurant takes its name from the centuries-old traditional Japanese Taiko drums. After years of working in the Far East, Schilo dreamed on his return to Amsterdam of a restaurant concept in which he could combine his love for Asia and his acquired skills, techniques and refined Asian taste experience with his other great love; pure Dutch, seasonal products.
