In October 2019, celebrity chef Jacob Jan Boersma stunned the culinary world by his decision to quit his 3 Michelin-starred restaurant De Leest in Vaassen. After 17 years of cooking at the very highest level, Boerma thought enough was enough and decided to follow his heart. The well-known chef wanted to spend more time with his wife and little son.
No Rules
In addition to De Leest, Jacob Jan Boerma has culinary responsibility for the 1 Michelin-starred restaurant The White Room at Hotel Krasnapolsky and the also 1 Michelin-starred restaurant Voltaire at Parc Broekhuizen in Leersum. The top chef will continue to hold both positions. Three-star pizzas
In No Rules, pizza has a prominent place on the menu. Boerma does something with the crust of the pizza that no one has ever done before. But the restaurant is definitely not a traditional pizzeria. Besides pizza, the menu also offers pastas and various meat and fish dishes. For lunch and dinner.
