Looking for a special restaurant for a special moment or does culinary art make your heart beat faster? Tunes Restaurant by Schilo in the Conservatorium Hotel is Amsterdam's newest culinary sensation. Top chef Schilo van Coevorden likes to take you by the hand on a gastronomic tour. He creates extraordinary combinations of flavors without using difficult terms or molecular tricks. Coquille with parsnip, algae and lime caviar is just an appetizer, but promises a true taste explosion. Japanese Wagyu beef, but from the Dutch Jisperveld, is a must eat. As a vegetarian, you won't have to miss anything. Schilo has made his own Frisian nail cheese and serves it as a mousse with structures of cauliflower and onion relish.
The interior of Tunes was designed in a spectacular way by architect Piero Lissoni. The kitchen is a glass cabinet in the restaurant where all the processes and operations can be viewed. The restaurant looks very exclusive but boasts a more than cozy atmosphere.
Tunes Bar
The ultra-hip Tunes Bar is currently considered Amsterdam's place to be. The futuristic design, the insane furniture, the dark glass walls and the beautiful bar with the huge illuminated and atmospheric back wall where the bottles are neatly arranged are a feast for the eyes. International allure in Amsterdam and ideal for a cocktail and tapas.
