On the weekend of March 7 and 8, 2025, Het Scheepvaartmuseum in Amsterdam will once again transform into the hotspot for beer lovers. Brewery Homeland is organizing a brand new edition of the Special Beer Festival here, and it promises to be a weekend full of taste, atmosphere and surprises. With a location on the Marineterrein and the historic ambiance of the museum, this festival offers a unique setting that you will not soon forget.
Homeland Brewery is unpacking its full lineup: from fresh, fruity craft beers to robust, spicy brews and everything in between. Fans can look forward to barrel-aged beers, wild fermented creations and exclusive specials launched on site. The festival is more than just drinking; it's an experience. Visitors can participate in tastings, test their knowledge in a beer quiz, enjoy live music and feast on delicious food. Bands like Leadbeaters and Cheerful Fruitflies will provide the right vibe, while DJ Hanneman will keep the party going until midnight.

The program is identical both days, starting at 4:00 p.m. with a warm welcome, followed by tastings between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. The pub quiz from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. offers a playful break, while live music from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. fills the evening. Throughout there will be games, dancing and, of course, plenty of beer. Tickets cost €18.50 (or €5 with Museum Card) and include a beer glass. A tasting of five beers can be booked in addition for €17.50. Those wishing to explore the museum can do so from 10:00 a.m.; the festival ticket counts as entrance ticket.
