At RTXP Amsterdam, take a journey through art history and behold the most famous works of master painters Rembrandt van Rijn, Vincent van Rijn, Johannes Vermeer, Piet Mondrian, Jan van Eyck, Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Sandro Botticelli and Leonardo Davinci.
The Pipe
Located in one of the most beautiful buildings in the Pijp area, the art center offers visitors a thematic experience with rooms specifically designed around a particular artist. Think Van Gogh or Rembrandt rooms, or, for example, the room dedicated to Monet in which visitors step into a 360° experience. So you suddenly find yourself in the middle of his garden in Giverny, including the iconic Japanese bridge.
Approachable alternative to a museum
RTXP Amsterdam is an initiative of father and son Jason and Quintus Abeln. 'We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy and learn from art. With RTXP we offer a low-threshold alternative to a gallery or museum. "By working with perfectly reproduced full-size oil studies, the public is introduced to art. From the Renaissance to modern times. From Hieronymus Bosch's The Garden of Delights, through Botticelli's The Birth of Venus, towards Rembrandt's The Night Watch and finally Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, and everything in between." In RTXP, you walk past 50 paintings that date as far back as the 16th century. Through QR codes at all works, you receive information and audio commentary on your smartphone."
We are bringing together 50 iconic studies in one building. Normally, one would have to travel about 37,000 kilometers and take about three months to see everything in real life in museums.
Night Watch
This spring, two master artists will study the Night Watch live and paint it life-size. You can admire this live.
RTXP is a unique experience for young and old, novice and experienced art lovers.
